Erring village and ward volunteers will land in jail if TDP comes to power, says Naidu

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that the village and ward volunteers are resorting to misdeeds and doing politics would only land in jail.

“You (volunteers) should realise the lies and betrayal of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and come forward to work as my star campaigners,” the former Chief Minister said while addressing the TDP’s ‘Raa Kadali Raa’ public meeting at Gangadhara Nellore, 10 km from here, on February 6 (Tuesday).

Mr. Naidu said that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy was spreading a feeling of insecurity among the volunteers. “I have always supported volunteers if they do good things. But they will not be spared if they resort to politics. I urge you to shun politics and serve the people,” Naidu said.

‘Nightmare for Dalits’

Alleging that the YSRCP government had become a nightmare for the Dalits in the State, Mr. Naidu said, “Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy has undermined the self-respect of the Dalits and unleashed a reign of oppression against them. More than 180 Dalits have ended their lives in the State in the last five years, while more than 6,000 false cases have been foisted against them. Sub-Plan funds of ₹28,000 crore meant for Dalits have been diverted, and 27 welfare schemes meant for the communities have been withdrawn.” He appealed to the Dalits to unseat Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the forthcoming elections.

వృద్ధులు సహా పలువురు లబ్దిదారులు సామాజిక భద్రతా పెన్షన్ల కోసం బ్యాంకుల వద్ద పడిగాపులుకాస్తున్న పరిస్థితులపై టీడీపీ అధినేత నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు స్పందించారు. సీఎస్‌ జవహర్‌రెడ్డికి ఆయన లేఖ రాశారు. పెన్షనర్లను ఇబ్బందిపెట్టడం అత్యంత దుర్మార్గమని ఆయన మండిపడ్డారు. పేదల ప్రాణాలతో రాజకీయమా అని ప్రశ్నించారు.

సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికలకు ముందు పెన్షన్ లబ్ధిదారులను వేధించి అధికార పార్టీకి లబ్ది చేకూర్చేలా వ్యవహరించడం బాధాకరమని సీఎస్ జవహర్ రెడ్డిని తప్పుబట్టారు.  ఒక రాజకీయ పార్టీకి కొమ్ము కాసేలా వ్యవహరించడం దారుణమన్నారు. ప్రజల కోసం పని చేయాల్సిన ప్రభుత్వాధికారి జనాలకు మేలు చేసే అవకాశాల గురించి కనీసం కూడా ఆలోచించడం లేదని ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ప్రజల్ని ఇబ్బందులకు గురి చేసేలా నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకోవడం అభ్యంతరకరమని చంద్రబాబు మండిపడ్డారు. 

ఏప్రిల్ మాదిరిగా మే నెలలో కూడా  పెన్షన్‌దారులను రోడ్లపై మండుటెండల్లో బ్యాంకుల చుట్టూ తిరిగేలా చేసి నరకయాతనకు గురి చేస్తున్నారని చంద్రబాబు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. పెన్షన్ల కోసం లబ్దిదారులను బ్యాంకుల వద్ద నిలబెట్టడం అత్యంత దుర్మార్గమన్నారు. వృద్దులు, దివ్యాంగులు, వితంతవులు, ఇతర పెన్షన్ దారులను వెతలకు గురిచేయకుండా సకాలంలో పంపిణీ చేయాలంటూ ఎన్నికల సంఘం ఉత్తర్వులు ఇచ్చినా వాటిని విస్మరించారని చంద్రబాబు విమర్శించారు. గత నెలలో సచివాలయాల వద్ద బారులు తీరేలా చేసి 33 మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయేందుకు కారణమయ్యారని, లక్షలాది మందిని వేధించారని చంద్రబాబు అన్నారు.

ఇదంతా జగన్‌ ఆడుతున్న పైశాచిక క్రీడ అని చంద్రబాబు ఘాటు వ్యాఖ్యల చేశారు. దాదాపు 65 లక్షల మంది ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారని చెప్పారు. గత నెలలో 35 మంది చనిపోతే ఇప్పుడు ఒక్క రోజే దాదాపు ఆరుగురు ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారని పేర్కొన్నారు. ‘‘ఈ మారణ హోమానికి ఏ1 జగన్ రెడ్డి, ఏ2 మీరే’’ అని జవహర్ రెడ్డిపై మండిపడ్డారు. గత నెలలో మండుటెండలో పెన్షనర్లను సచివాలయాల చుట్టూ తిప్పారని, ఇప్పుడు కూడా బ్యాంకుల చుట్టూ తిప్పుతూ వేధిస్తున్నారని విమర్శించారు. దారుణమైన ఎండల్లో లబ్దిదారులు బ్యాంకులకు ఏ విధంగా చేరుకుంటారని ప్రశ్నించారు. ఎక్కడో మండల కేంద్రాల్లో ఉన్న బ్యాంకుల చుట్టూ తిప్పుతున్నారని అన్నారు.

ఒక్కరోజులోనే పెన్షన్ పంపిణీ పూర్తి చేసే అవకాశం ఉన్నా అలా చేయకుండా రాజకీయ కుట్రలకు ప్రాధాన్యమివ్వడం దుర్మార్గమని చంద్రబాబు వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. పెన్షన్లను పంపిణీ చేసే వ్యవస్థ గ్రామస్థాయిలో ఉన్నప్పటికీ ఇళ్ల వద్ద ఇవ్వకుండా బ్యాంకు ఖాతాల్లో జమ చేశారని చంద్రబాబు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఇదంతా అధికార పార్టీ నాయకుల కుట్ర అని విమర్శించారు.  బ్యాంకులకు వెళ్లిన పెన్షనర్లను కేవైసీ కోసం ఆధార్, పాన్ తీసుకురావాలంటూ బ్యాంక్ సిబ్బంది కోరుతున్నారని, దీంతో తీవ్రమైన వేసవిలో లబ్దిదారులు రోడ్లపై తిరగాల్సిన పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడిందని అన్నారు.

ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలో పింఛన్లు తీసుకుంటున్న వారికి ఎన్నికల నేపథ్యంలో గందరగోళం ఎదురైన విషయం తెలిసిందే. ఈ క్రమంలో జూన్ నెలలో తమకు పింఛన్లు వస్తాయా లేదా? వస్తే ఎప్పుడు వస్తాయి? తమ పింఛన్లు ఇళ్ల వద్దకే వచ్చి ఇస్తారా, లేక మళ్ళీ బ్యాంకులో వేస్తారా? ఇలా అనేకరకాల ప్రశ్నలతో గందరగోళం మధ్య పెన్షనర్లు టెన్షన్ పడుతున్నారు. అయితే జూన్ నెలకు సంబంధించిన పింఛన్ పై ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది.

జూన్ నెల పించన్ పంపిణీ ఇలా

ఈ మేరకు పింఛన్లను జూన్ ఒకటవ తేదీన లబ్ధిదారుల బ్యాంకు అకౌంట్లో జమ చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది. దివ్యాంగులు, నడవలేనివారు, అనారోగ్యంతో బాధపడుతున్న వారు, వీల్ చైర్ లోనే ఉండే వారికి మాత్రం నేరుగా ఇంటి వద్దకే వెళ్లి పింఛన్లు చెల్లించాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది.

మే నెలలో పింఛన్ తిప్పలు.. వడదెబ్బతో పలువురు మృతి

అయితే గత నెలలో బ్యాంకు ఖాతాలలో పింఛన్ డబ్బులను జమ చేయడంతో, లబ్ధిదారులు బ్యాంకులకు క్యూ కట్టారు. అక్కడ విపరీతమైన రద్దీ కారణంగా లబ్ధిదారులు ఇబ్బంది పడ్డారు. పించన్ కోసం బ్యాంకులకు వెళ్లి వడదెబ్బతో అనేకమంది వృద్ధులు మరణించారు. మరికొందరికి బ్యాంక్ అకౌంట్ల విషయంలో ఇబ్బంది ఎదురు కావడంతో నేరుగా ఇంటి వద్దకే వచ్చి పింఛన్లు చెల్లించాలని ప్రధానంగా డిమాండ్ వినిపించింది.

ఎన్నికల నేపధ్యంలో పింఛన్ కష్టాలు

అయినప్పటికీ ఈ నెలలో కూడా బ్యాంకు ఖాతాలోనే పింఛన్ డబ్బులు జమ చేయాలనే ప్రభుత్వనిర్ణయం ప్రాధాన్యత సంతరించుకుంది. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలో ఎన్నికల ప్రక్రియ ప్రారంభం కావడంతో ఏప్రిల్ నెలనుంచి గ్రామ వాలంటీర్లను పక్కనపెట్టి వారితో పింఛన్లు పంపిణీ చేయొద్దని ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేసింది కేంద్ర ఎన్నికల సంఘం. దీంతో ఏప్రిల్ మాసంలో గ్రామ, వార్డు సచివాలయాల్లో పింఛన్లు పంపిణీ చేశారు. ఇక మే నెలలో బ్యాంక్ అకౌంట్లో పింఛన్ వేశారు.

జూన్ లో పింఛన్ పంపిణీపై కీలక నిర్ణయం

జూన్లో కూడా బ్యాంక్ అకౌంట్ ల ద్వారానే పింఛన్ చెల్లించాలని నిర్ణయించారు. అయితే జూన్ 1వ తేదీన లబ్ధిదారులకు ఇళ్ల వద్దనే పింఛన్ పంపిణీ చేయాలని, పింఛన్ దారులు ఎండలో పింఛన్ సొమ్ము కోసం నానా అగచాట్లు పడుతున్నారని తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీ డిమాండ్ చేసింది. అయినప్పటికీ ప్రభుత్వం మాత్రం మళ్లీ బ్యాంకు ఖాతాల లోనే పింఛన్ సొమ్ము జమ చేయాలని నిర్ణయించింది.

HIGHLIGHTS Thedistribution of social pensions to the elderly, single women, and other groups will likely face difficulties again.

Rajamahendravaram: The distribution of social pensions to the elderly, single women, and other groups will likely face difficulties again. The state government has decided to deposit the social security pensions in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries on June 1. Although there is a possibility of pension distribution from house-to-house within two or three days by the staff of the Village Secretariats, the government is not taking any steps in that direction.

The government also acted like this in the distribution of pensions for April and May. Earlier, the government used to distribute pensions at the beneficiaries’ homes on the first two days of every month through volunteers. However, after the election code came into effect, people requested the Election Commission to keep the volunteers away from election duties and activities that influence the voters. The EC directed that volunteers should be kept away from this duty.

However, despite the possibility of using secretariat staff, panchayat staff, and municipal employees for these duties, the government deliberately ignored it. The YSRCP government delayed the distribution of pensions to the elderly and other sections and used it as a propaganda item in elections. Pensions were distributed from April 1 to 4 in village and ward secretariats.

ఏపీలో కొత్తగా ఏర్పడ్డ కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం చకచకా నిర్ణయాలు అమలు చేస్తూ పాలనాపరమైన ప్రక్షాళన దిశగా అడుగులేస్తోంది. తాజాగా సీఎం చంద్రబాబు నేతృత్వంలో జరిగిన ఈ భేటీలో పలు కీలక నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంది కేబినెట్. ఇటీవల పెన్షన్ పథకానికి ఎన్టీఆర్ ఆసరాగా పేరు మారుస్తూ ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేసిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. 

ఏపీలో వాలంటీర్లను ఎలా వినియోగించుకోవాలి అన్న అంశంపై ప్రభుత్వం సమాలోచనలు చేస్తోంది. ఎన్నికల ముందు ఇచ్చిన హామి మేరకు.. వాలంటీర్ వ్యవస్థ కొనసాగించే అవకాశాలు ఉన్నా.. వారికి విధి విధానాలు ఏంటి అంశంపై ఇంకా క్లారిటీ రాలేదు. సోమవారం జరిగిన తొలి కేబినెట్ భేటీలో ఒక కీలక నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు. పెన్షన్ల పంపిణీకి వాలంటీర్లను దూరం ఉంచాలని నిర్ణయించారు. సచివాలయ ఉద్యోగుల ద్వారా పెన్షన్ల పంపిణీ చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం అధికారులకు సూచించింది. ఒకటవ తేదీన సచివాలయ ఉద్యోగులతో పెన్షన్లు డోర్ డెలివరీ చేయనుంది ప్రభుత్వం. వాలంటీర్లను ఎలా ఉపయోగించుకోవాలనే దానిపై ప్రభుత్వం ఆలోచన చేస్తోందని కేబినెట్ మీటింగ్ అనంతరం మంత్రి కొలుసు పార్థసారథి తెలిపారు.

ఇక ఏపీ కేబినెట్ భేటీలో పింఛన్ల పెంపునకు ఆమోదం తెలిపారు. ఎన్టీఆర్ భరోసా పేరిట అందించే సామాజిక పింఛన్ల మొత్తాన్ని నెలకు రూ.3000 నుంచి రూ.4000 పెంచే ప్రతిపాదనలకు కేబినెట్ ఆమోదం తెలిపింది. ఈ పెంచిన పింఛన్ మొత్తాన్ని సచివాలయ సిబ్బంది.. లబ్ధిదారులకు ఇళ్ల వద్దకు వెళ్లి అందజేయనున్నారు. ఎన్నికల ముందు ఇచ్చిన హామి మేరకు ఏప్రిల్ నెల నుంచి పెంచిన పింఛన్ కూడా ఇవ్వనున్నారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఈ మూడు నెలలు.. నెలకు వెయ్యి చొప్పున 3 వేలు బకాయిలతో కలిపి మొత్తం రూ.7000లను అందజేయనున్నారు.
